Gill Townend qualified in Amenity Horticulture (City and Guilds) at the Berkshire College of Agriculture. In 1985 she was awarded the Silver Medal for the top student in the UK. She subsequently studied at the College of Garden Design under Robin Williams and Lucy Huntingdon, both well known garden designers and horticulturalists.

In 1999 she gained the RHS Diploma in Horticulture. For over 20 years Gill has been designing gardens in the Thames Valley and has built up a reputation for imaginative design, a friendly and efficient service and reliability.
